Something about a bear
A World Premiere by Constance Congdon, Directed by Vladimir Rovinsky and Lisa Channer
A co-production of Theatre Novi Most and The University of Minnesota Department of Theatre and Dance, developed in collaboration with The Playwrights' Center.
Inspired by Russian writer Evgeny Shvartz’s play, An ordinary miracle
Something About A Bear is a contemporary fairy tale featuring a mischievous wizard, a bear turned into a man, a cross-dressing princess, an epic snow storm and a hysterical tyrant king; it is a play about the exquisite and terrifying power of love and will delight and inspire audiences of all ages with its magic, humor and heart.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
