Theatre Novi Most was founded in 1998 by Vladimir Rovinsky and Lisa Channer. We create plays and performances that conjure new theatrical languages to build bridges across artistic and cultural barriers. Since 2007 we have made our home in Minneapolis.

Our process combines theatre and performance traditions from Europe, Russia and the U.S. with integration of story through exquisite writing.  We have created new work with Constance Congdon, Kira Obolensky, Cory Hinkle, Adam Kraar, Andrei Kuraichick and more. Our plays develop over an extended period of time, taking from one to three years in process with actors, designers and writers to reach audiences. Since our founding we have produced nearly 20 new plays and reimagined classic texts.

Theatre Novi Most is a member of the Network of Ensemble Theatres.
