Something About a Bear: TNM to premiere a New Play by Constance Congdon in April 2013

Theatre Novi Most will present a world premiere of a new script by Constance Congdon based on the Russian play An Ordinary Miracle by Evgeny Shvartz. We are developing this "fairy tale for adults" with the Playwrights' Center and co-producing the production with the University of Minnesota Dept of Theatre Arts and Dance as part of their Reimagining Community Arts Partnerships initiative. Last year the U partnered in a similar way with Theatre Latte Da for a critically acclaimed production of Spring Awakening and we are delighted to be next year's RiCAP choice. The new play which features a mischievous wizard, a bear turned into a man, a cross dressing princess, an epic snow storm and a hysterical tyrant king will run April 12-21 at the Stoll Thrust Theatre on the UMN campus and will be aimed at ages 8-80. A delightful evening is promised for young and old!
